SHark Tank - 2018-2019

2018-2019 PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Learning Fund Foundation (LFF) is piloting a new program this year: LFF Shark Tank.  LFF Shark Tank offers STEAM based learning focused on instilling basic start-up and entrepreneurship skills to interested and emerging 3rd-6th grade inventors/entrepreneurs in the Lincolnshire-Prairie View 103 School District.

Shark Tank offers participating students an authentic entrepreneurship experience.  In this 12-week long course, participating students have the opportunity to create and fully develop their own product or service.  District science teachers, entrepreneurs, business experts and parents serve as volunteer instructors and mentors guiding student teams through the process of developing hypotheses about a business concept, testing those hypotheses, adapting and continually learning and improving.  This cycle of experimentation is combined with foundational business content such as marketing and finance.
