SHARK TANK - 2018-2019

The Learning Fund Foundation (LFF) piloted an innovative program in the 2018–2019 academic year: LFF Shark Tank. This initiative provides STEAM-based learning designed to introduce entrepreneurship and startup thinking to motivated students in grades 3–6 within the Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103.

LFF Shark Tank offers students an authentic, hands-on entrepreneurship experience. Over the course of this 12-week program, participants conceptualize, develop, and refine their own product or service. Guided by district science teachers, entrepreneurs, business professionals, and parent volunteers, student teams engage in the full innovation cycle—formulating hypotheses, testing ideas, iterating based on feedback, and continuously improving their concepts.

This experiential learning is complemented by foundational business principles, including marketing, finance, and strategic thinking, equipping students with both practical skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
